About Time...

Welp, she's here...and she's been here...for 7 weeks. =) So, while I am not here blogging about every single cute little thing our Ember Lenora does, rest assured I am definitely enjoying my time with her and rest assured that she is extremely adorable. In true Wilson baby fashion she has gone from skinny little thing to already wearing some 6 month clothes! They don't necessarily fit her perfectly, but all of the 0-3 month clothes are too tight on her waist and legs. Oh, those legs, I could just eat them up - they are so rolly polly and cute.
She is a very sweet and feminine little girl. She is perhaps a bit more needy than her older sister ever was, but we were spoiled the first time around...how unfortunate to be spoiled with your first! You think you have everything about babies all figured out and then...BAM! She's here and you realize that there's a learning curve all over again. She is definitely still a good baby, just has a few "digestive" issues, to put it nicely. They do seem to be working themselves out though, and the past week she has been sleeping like a dream. I feel like I can brag about that because it took a good year for Reagan to even start sleeping through the night. We are enjoying her so much. It is so interesting that babies are born with different personalities and spirits. She is exactly the way I imagined she would be - sweet and sensitive and definitely an observer. Although, what baby isn't an observer at this age I guess? =) She is an absolutely beautiful baby and we love her so much.
Reagan has done an amazing job with the adjustment. Although we are seeing some behaviors that we hadn't before, there is no doubt that she loves her sister. She always wants to be around her, doing what she is doing, which at this point is basically laying on a blanket, kicking her legs and looking around, but Reagan is willing to do it! My favorite thing to do with my babies is let them have "nakey time" where they can just let loose without any tight clothing or diapers on...on a towel, of course! Well, last night Ember and Reagan had nakey time and although my carpet isn't as clean as it was previously, it was very cute. Reagan has dubbed Ember "Sissy Goo." I don't know where the name came from but it has stuck, and now we are all calling her Sissy Goo. Thank goodness for Reagan, she is always helping us remember to laugh. Just tonight she was talking about Lady Gaga...yeah, another thing I swear we didn't teach her. She does have a particular auntie though that I know gets a kick out of teaching her silly things, so the investigation is still pending on who is filling her mind with these ideas!
We love our two little girls. Although one of them will be 2 in a few weeks (seriously cannot believe that!) they are still both my babies, and I love them so much. Jason and I feel so lucky that we get to "babysit" them for Heavenly Father for a while. They are the joy in my life.
