More pictures just for fun.

Okay, so this picture is a bit unrelated, but here is a picture of my family on Memorial Day this year by my cousin Cheyenne's grave. It is a special time every year that we get to go visit family's gravesites and remember and tell fun stories about them. This is a smewhat random picture, but I was noticing how huge my belly was in this picture - this was taken on my due date, but little did I know that she wasn't to be born until two weeks later. I remember feeling so huge and uncomfortable, but looking back, I look at that and I think to myself, How could she possibly fit in there? Especially looking at her now...all fifteen pounds of her? Wow. Next time I won't complain. The fact that she was in there is amazing!
The paparazzi sneakily shot this picture of us walking out to Shark's Cove. Not the greatest or most exciting picture, but I like it because we are heading out to do our favorite thing...snorkeling. I had only done really mild stuff before, but this was hard core! Not really, but it was still so much fun. We saw huge fish that just swam right up to us, and lots of other cool stuff. It's amazing that there's this whole other colorful world in the ocean. This place was the best snorkeling on the island...and not a very touristy place, which was nice. My mom watched Reagan for a couple of hours and we took advantage of it! I will admit...I was a little freaked out at first, but only because I heard this dad with his kids a little ways ahead of us saying "Oh, that's scary," or, "Hurry, swim away from that," or the worst: "Look! It's a SEA SPIDER." Having a definite fear of spiders, this one was the worst. But, I eventually talked myself into it. If I was going to die, at least it would be in paradise.

Here is little Penny the Pirate in her swimsuit. She's bootylicious. I tried dipping her feet in the water a few times, and she did not enjoy it. She really needs to lighten up.

Tiana, Reagan, and me matching. Well, not really me, but I always want to be in every picture apparently...

Hawaii Baby

I am one of those annoying people who only posts pictures of their baby...oh well. Truth is, she's the cutest one in the family, and no one really wants to see pictures of me or Jason anyways. Here is a cute one of Reagan in Hawaii. All of my pictures of her are when she's in her car seat. I promise she's not always there...I guess she just makes cute faces when she's sitting in it or something?

On another note, we have been incredibly busy. Right after we got home from Hawaii, we had two days to be out of our apartment and into our new condo. It was STRESSFUL to say the least (especially because smart me didn't decide to start packing until we got back from our vacation.) I could really use that vacation now. Packing is hard work, but unpacking is definitely the worst. I don't even know where to start. But, we really love the new place. It's huge compared to what we're used to, and Reagan even gets her own room! I can't wait to start decorating. I have some great ideas that have been floating around in my head for her nursery ever since I was pregnant. We'll see how everything turns out. Best part about our new home - no moving! At least until Jason is done with school and then possibly onto grad school. But that should be another year or two at least. I am so excited to actually get settled for once!
As always, Reagan is just a little peach. We love her so much. It's amazing to me how many new things she learns on a daily basis. She is almost rolling completely over, giggling lots, and talking so much to me! I love having conversations with her. She has so much to say. I wish I knew what she thinks she's saying! She sucks her thumb now (not sure how I feel about this? But it's cute), but prefers to stick both fists in her mouth...until she gags herself, and then she looks at me like it's my fault. Silly girl. Today at church I set her down on the ground during young womens and she would push her feet off my mine and scoot forward. It scared both her and me, and is not necessarily "crawling," which I'm sure she won't do for a few more months, but it's definitely scooting. Haha. I am so proud of her if you can't tell. She's the most exciting thing in my life right now. I don't know if that's sad or not, but I'll work on becoming more exciting myself. For now, I love being a mama, and can never imagine doing anything else this important or rewarding. Having such a sweet, new life in your home creates a whole new atmosphere that I am so grateful for. She teaches me more than I teach her I am sure, but we are pretty dependent on each other! We're just a little family of three getting by and loving it! Have a good Sunday everyone. =)

Hawaii

Last week the whole family went to Hawaii to drop Haley off at BYU-Hawaii. It was a total blast! We were so busy having fun that we forgot to take very many pictures. We spent most of the time exploring the local beaches and BYU-Hawaii. We went to a luau at the Polynesian Cultural Center, which was awesome. While we were watching a show, a nice older gentleman came over to Emily's grandparents and took them to a nice VIP area where they could sit in the shade and could see the show much better. Later he came up to me at the store and we got to talking and I discovered that he knew my Mission President. On Sunday we went to Haley's ward and he was the High Council speaker. Our very last night in Hawaii, we went to L&L BBQ to eat dinner and...you guessed it... he was there eating dinner with his wife. What a small little world. It was so much fun spending time with family, relaxing and having fun. We went cliff jumping and snorkeling and saw some pretty impressive sea creatures. Sunburns and jellyfish stings notwithstanding, we had a marvelous time.

Happy Baby Penny

We're still in Hawaii, just relaxing, snorkling, beaching it, and having a blast with friends and family. I don't have much time, but here is an adorable picture of little girlfriend that Uncle Ernie took a couple of weeks ago when we went whale watching. She melts my heart! Anytime I'm having a bad day and she makes this face at me, everything is right with the world.

Whale Watching

The Heaney Visit

Well my sister Katelyn and her husband Kaden came to visit and we had so much fun with them. It was so great to see them and get to know Kaden a little bit better( although I think Katelyn got a little annoyed after an hour of talking about Star Wars and video games. Maybe she wished that we didn't have so much in common. JK) We went around and saw the sights around here, and Kaden's tainted crab legs notwithstanding, I think we all had a great time. It was fun to remeber old times and create new memories. We went down to Seattle and went to the top of the Space Needle and looked in peoples apartments from the viewing gallery. We walked around downtown and ogled at all the "punk-rock freaks". One of them kept snaping handcuffs open and shut. He looked like he was about to make a citizens arrest. It was fun for Reagan to meet her new aunt and uncle and we cant wait until we see them again.

Two Month Check Up

Today we took Reagan to her two month check up. She is doing great and is as healthy as can be. She weighs in at 14 lbs. 2 ounces and 24.5 inches! In other words, she is not only chubby but tall as well. Good for her. We'll just say that he enjoys feeding time. We had to do her two month vaccines as well, which equals out to three shots (a couple of them are combined), and a vaccine done orally (no, not a shot, that's what I thought at first and it freaked me out). She did pretty good. We gave her tylenol right after they weighed her, and she spit up all over me shortly thereafter, so I'm not too sure she even got any. Then, they did the oral rotavirus vaccine, during which she spit up again all over me...ALL over me...and then nurse. Haha, serves the nurse right. The nurse said that most infants like this particular vaccine, but she definitely did not. Poor girl. No crying, just funny faces. It's actually pretty fun to see her reaction to different tastes besides breast milk. Of course she cried a little right after the shots, but the nurse did them so fast, I was extremely grateful. You could tell this was not her first rodeo. She only cried for about thirty seconds and then fell asleep. She has been awake but sleepy most of the day, but is back to her cooing, smiling, sweet self. She's a trooper.
